Unlike most moon phase watches, the Lange's moon phase is continuously driven by the hour wheel and doesn't advance just once or twice a day. Also unlike most other moon phase movements, the per day error in the moon phase is only 57 seconds compared to the 44 minutes 3 seconds in other moon phase movements; a 0.002% error. This means that the Lange 1 Moon Phase will run for 122.6 years before the moon phase is a full day in error; other movements have to be corrected every 2 years.Case: in 18 karat red gold, polished and brushed finish; 38.5 x 10.5 mm (excl. lugs crown); flat sapphire crystal; red gold crown with logo; back secured by 6 screws, with sapphire exhibition window.
