It is the fish story of Easy Company, who battled, went starving, froze & died, a company that took 150 percent casualties & thought about the Purple Heart a badge of workplace. Drawing on hours of meetings with survivors in addition to the soldiers' journals letters, Ambrose recounts the stories, often in the guys's own words, of these American heroes.
