This is an older Canon with 5 mp and uses 2 AA batteries believe it or not these still sale on Amazon for around $190 brand-new. This is an exceptional video camera to secure on trip as it has 35 -140 mm range for near and far pictures, has audio recording, and best of all has the capability to record video. Or for the beginnger who is simply starting with photo. Canon has a credibility of excellent electronic cameras and this one is no exceptions.
