i have a compaq laptop that i would like to trade for a decent tower. this computer has an issue with overheating and im not sure how to fix it. i reinstalled vista and it still reaches critical system shutoff in about ten minutes. might just need a new fan. seeing how i used this as a desktop anyway, i would rather have one of those than put any time or money into fixing this. it is a common issue with this computer so im guessing someone out there knows how to fix it. these are the specs:dual core 1.86 processor160 gig HDD2 gigs rambuilt in wifivista 32 bitalso still has lots of programs and media in the "windows old" folder. you can keep or delete this as you see fit. has pro tools, but without my mbox this might be useless. i was able to install most if not all of the drivers, and microsoft security essentials.i would like to get a tower with similar stats, and i am fine with upgrading the memory myself. i already have the keyboard/mouse/monitor and such, so i just need a tower and power cord. it doesnt need to be vista, im fine with xp, or 7.if your interested my name is jeff and number is 260-417-XXXX. you can also respond to this via E-mail. if you have something worth more than this i also have a ton of 360 games i would be willing to part with. thank you.Location: btown
