Concerned my instrument store, have a look at my materials (maple, walnut, cherry, sassafras, oak, and more), chat with me about the different types a dulcimer can take, and design build one! The materials, body shape, measurements, variety of strings, and decorative aspects are up to you, so you'll wind up with a definitely one-of-a-kind treasure, and it will be a top-quality instrument that looks and sounds amazing. Approximately 20 hours in my shop-- we'll organize the schedule together-- plus a long time in your home sanding, shaping, or whatever you feel comfy doing. No woodworking experience or tools necessary. Have a look at the pictures of past students!
