3 1/2 years ago we were forced to sell our beloved horse "Rudy". My daughter moved to college and we couldnt pay for hay any more due to illnesses. We sold Rudy to a nice family in Honcut who said we could visit him whenever we wanted. We gave an Abetta saddle ,videos and a trailer in the deal. Rudy had been alone for some time at our house but they had a pony so he had company. One day they took the pony out and as horses do,he got all worked up over losing his new pal. They called us concerned that we sold him a crazy horse. We explained about "herd instinct" thinking they would understand but they traded him off immediately for an older horse. When we next contacted them to see about a visit we were informed they had traded him to a woman with mares out by the afterbay or the forebay near oroville somewhere. They were not real forth coming to give us info ,i guess feeling we sold them a bad horse.We had told them if it didnt work out we would gladly take him back.But they didnt bother.My daughter has missed him more and more over these few years and we just want to know what became of him. He is 16-2 bay ,thorough quarter cross.Small white spot on his head hidden much by his fore lock.He is black legged and dark almost black front shoulders.He has lover boy coweyes that melt any womans heart. He always had a real long black tail and mane. His mane does the reverse halfway down his neck flipping to the other side. He is a real "people horse'. quite a charactoer,quite smart and very friendly when treated well. He turns almost golden on his sides every spring and gets very shiney. We have gone to their house and left notes over the years pleading to no avail. Can you help? Rudy and my daughter are 1 month apart in age making him 22years old. He was her best friend.We have driven all over with binoculars checking out horses we have seen. Please email any helpful info or ideas. You can call and leave a message 530 990 XXXX.
