Great board shaped by Casey McCrystal, shaper for a bunch of pro surfers. The epoxy glassing was done by Boardworks via Epoxy Thermal Lamination (more below). This board was shaped for all-around conditions. Fast with plenty of glide, easy to ride and extremely forgiving. I've mostly ridden this board at Pleasure Point and the Hook in Santa Cruz, but also had success at Half Moon Bay and in Ocean Beach in SF. I've really enjoyed it and have zero complaints. It is in great condition (zero surface dings) and comes with 3 FCS fins and a black traction pad. The board itself is light blue. I'll be posting picture asap. They build a two piece mold around an original master from the shaper. Next, they take an EPS (expanded poly styrene) core and insert 3, 8mm PVC stringers. They call this the ESS (epoxy stringer system). This makes the boards much stiffer than a regular epoxy board and greatly enhances breaking strength. They then add layers of glass, 9 lb PVC sheet foam on top and bottom, and more glass with super-toughened (20 lb) epoxy foaming resin on the rails for impact resistance. The board is hand laid up in the heated mold and then placed in a press. This allows the board to cure under pressure at a high temperature. As a result, they end up with a tight, light, and extremely durable finished product which is the best available in today's epoxy surfboard market.
