Description:
This is an old set of congas that I restored a couple of years back. The only determining mark that they had was a "Made in Mexico" stamp that was on the initial drum heads. I have ever since replaced the heads with a set of Remo "Fiberskyn 3" heads. The heads are 11" and 10" and the drums are both 30" tall. Everything has actually been repainted, I shaped and sanded the drums to fit the new drum heads, I resealed the wood on the insides with epoxy, replaced the majority of the hardware, and lined the bottoms with thick rubber to keep them from slipping or scuffing the floor. I never ever discovered how to play them! I wish that another person has the ability to enjoy these fellas.
