Up for bid is this magnificent 19th century hand carved antique French buffet. It is an incredible statement piece for your vaulted ceiling entry or dining room. It was purchased about 25 years ago from a large antique dealer in Orange County, CA. Imminent home sale forces us to part with this beauty.The buffet features a large cabinet space at the bottom, with locking doors (key included). It has two adjustable shelves, and is perfect for platters, plates, pitchers, serving bowls, and similar items. The doors have intricate carving featuring a figure on each.Above that are two drawers. There is a "counter top" space above the drawers, with a back panel display area, also carved. Supporting the upper section are two beautifully carved pillars. The upper section has another cabinet area suitable for glasses, again locking with included key. This cabinet door has an amazing relief carving. On either side of this cabinet are tall vertical display areas.The buffet comes apart to facilitate moving. The filigree on top is removable, and the upper cabinet section can be easily removed from the lower.NOTE THAT THE BUYER MUST ARRANGE FOR PICKUP AND SHIPMENT OF THIS PIECE.
