1940 Sears Silvertone Radio/Phonograph (shelf model, not a console)
Price:
$375
Location:
Maricopa, AZ
Description:
This is a 1941 Sears Silverone AM Radio with a 78 rpm phonograph. The phonograph needs a needle, but works otherwise. I repair old radios, and this one is in good working order. Original, is not a replica. Cabinet is wood with a lifttop lid for the phonograph. I replaced the power cord for fire safety. All original parts otherwise. This is a vacuum tube radio. The model number is 5772. This is a one of kind unit, there was only one other like it on the net, and it was in real bad condition. This units cabinet is in very good condition. Four knobs on front are off/on/volume, record player/radio, tone, tuning. It is AM only (they didn't have FM yet back then)
